Description
Wayne has a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, about 90 percent of the poems in What Are You Looking At? were written about this condition from late 2005 onwards. The remainder are general and personal poems that were written at the same time. A lot of Waynes excellent poems were written whilst he was in and attending a psychiatric hospital, they take account of both highs and lows experienced by people with bipolar disorder. Wayne hopes that his book gives people an insight into how a person with bipolar disorder feels.
Mandy Mortimer (verified owner) –
This was probably the first full book of poems I have actually read. I found it a very inspirational insight into the mind of someone with bipolar and was struck at how open and honest someone could be.
The only drawback with this book is that you can only read a little at a time without reaching for the box of tissues – that is how emotional it is!
An excellent first publication – hopefully many more to come!
