Book Extract
(#7) Diagnosed
Here the madness was
Yet to be pulled apart
There was new theory
Coming around
I was deemed bi-polar
Suicidally depressed w/
Schizophrenic tendencies
This meant I saw things
That were not there:
Demons, laughing loners, night-walkers.
And, beyond that I was (a.) no doubt moody,
(b.) could not hold steady employment.
Beyond that, a threat, a danger to myself,
And others
& did not know The Self.
So, who was I?
I had to leave that
To the orderly, the Dr.
The nurse.
