Description

This collection of essays comprises both magazine type features but also expands on the case reports published in psychiatric journals so I have called in schizophrenic articles. It deals with what the illness is like it terms of its symptoms and experiences and what can be done about them.

The articles then mainly concentrate on how the illness effects day to day living and what helps and what how the mental health system functions to support people to recover and grow despite stigma, paranoia and other psychological problems.

About the Author

My biographical history is very much dominated by schizophrenia which began at age 21. I had just graduated from university and starting a PhD. course in political philosophy. I had to give up my PhD. after a five year struggle with the illness due to a lack of information to hand about what hearing voices actually is.
