Description
This is the first book of Veronica’s, “The Invisible Stubborn Snail Travel Series 001.” Having struggled for the past six years with a massive, Anxiety and Depression Trauma. So intense that she found herself unable to think, speak clearly, remember anything, and a body refusing to manage basic functions. For the first years, she resembled a wobbly Jelly. With no mind and no wish to survive.
Not the successful corporate life she was used to. After four years of rest and Psychology, her mind slowly began to unravel its past traumas. Unable to return to work and now retired. Travel and writing were her past loves. Sadly, she now found herself riddled with arthritis and a deteriorating spinal cord.
Ever the optimist, she thought the world of disabled people would be vastly improved since she remembered how strongly she had supported diversity in the workplace. Respect for others had always been her mantra.
Her expectations were great. So idealistic that she soon started to experience the reality of every mentally and physically disabled persons worse nightmare. Being Veronica, she chose to share her nightmares and dreams with us all. Focusing on how countries and resorts make assisted life and travel really diverse, and not just give it lip service.
This series is written with complete honesty. As she would have written reports at work when she was designing improved quality operational solutions. Now she champions the disabled traveller. As she found out quite early in her new quest, she has her work cut out.
This book is very relatable; it will make you laugh, cry and maybe trigger past experiences. Rest assured that whatever she writes, she has already spoken to the management team about. Her complaints are genuine.
If you ever see anyone bully or abuse a disabled person. Feel free to help them. It’s a lonely, intimidating world in a wheelchair……
