Life can be tough, and when it is, you have to be a tough person to live it. Barbara Cunningham doesn't pull any punches in describing the horrors and setbacks of her life, and how in spite of it all she never lost the focus to give her children the very best life that she could. After reading the first couple of pages, I couldn't put this book down, I read it in a day. It's so real, so heartfelt, I had to keep reading about Barbara and her family, I had to know what happened and how she managed to find a way through it all. It's a book that makes you appreciate how lucky you are, and how difficult life is for some. I'm so glad I read this book, it is outstanding.
