Luci is a feisty and humorous heroine, who simultaneously intrigues, delights and frustrates the reader. Descriptions throughout the book of Bipolar Disorder and the happiness and carnage the condition can cause are brave and honest, holding nothing back in the effort to explain the condition to people who may not fully understand it.

The Fire in Your Eyes is an important, ambitious and rewarding novel which deserves recognition as one of the most brutally honest, engaging and humorous accounts of Bipolar I have read to date.
