Life is what you make of it but many of us, with or without mental health problems, cave in under the circumstances or refuse to deal with problems. It is therefore refreshing and inspiring to see courageous Yvonne showing her warm face from the cover of this book and to read about her active daily struggle to put herself back on track between psychiatric treatments. Reading this diary, we are connected with some of her most personal thoughts and feelings, set against a world where her fostered son, loving mother, friends, health appointments, work commitments and other more simple life occurrences form a backdrop that almost seems to support her and give her the strength to go from one step to the next. Life, regardless!
